Our extensive experience providing financial statement audits and a full array of other assurance related services has allowed us to develop and maintain advanced, efficient procedures, which we leverage to our clients' benefit.
Experience is a great teacher, and it has taught us that for many business owners and program managers, the prospect of an audit, or other type of review, is typically unwelcome. We know you will feel differently after working with us. RPC CPAs + Consultants stands out from the crowd with our efficient and effective procedures (which get us in and out of your business more quickly), our teamwork both internally and with your staff (which helps us understand your business better), and our reporting, which is designed to not only meet regulatory requirements, but to give you an objective and insightful view of your organization.
All audit and financial reporting functions are handled through the Assurance & Attestation (A&A) Group at RPC. These include:
Financial Statement Audits
Popular throughout government entities, non-profit organizations, retirement plans, and commercial enterprises, an audit is the CPA profession’s highest level of assurance. A thorough audit involves providing an opinion on the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the financial statements. In addition, we provide management and those charged with governance with innovative strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business operations, effectiveness of controls over financial reporting and an objective viewpoint of the current state of the organization.
Compliance Audits / Federal Single Audits
These are used extensively in government, non-profits, and for-profit organizations to track grant spending, ensuring it is used in accordance with grant requirements. They also ensure that accurate records are maintained. As auditors, our objective is to provide an opinion of whether the major programs have complied with the terms and conditions outlined by the grant or contract.
With our in-depth knowledge, we can help you by preparing or adjusting policies and procedures so you can operate better and faster. We can also leverage our technical knowledge and process experience to outsource all or some of your financial management functions.
Compilations & Reviews
If your organization does not need an audit, but does need some limited assurance or a CPA prepared financial statement, we can help. A review has a more narrow scope than an audit; it involves applying analytical procedures to management's financial data. A compilation is where our team helps your management in presenting financial information in the form of financial statements. Compilations are often prepared for simple situations, such as a lender needing GAAP financial statements instead of the statements the internal accounting system produces before completing a loan. Pension or Employee Benefit Plan audits are performed to meet the requirements of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) for employee benefit plans that have more than 100 participants. Our audit is conducted in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to provide an opinion that the financial statements are presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). ERISA also provides an option for a limited-scope audit, available to certain plans.
Other Attest Services
RPC CPAs + Consultants can provide an examination, review, or agreed upon procedures on a wide range of areas. This does not necessarily have to be in the finance area; it could be anything to improve efficiency or effectiveness of a given function. These services apply to any subject matter in the business to provide a business owner/CEO with the peace of mind that operations are designed and implemented as intended. This includes such things as a pre-acquisition audits, performance audits, and due-diligence reviews or management audits.
