RPC Names 3 New Partners and Announces Merger with Santa Fe, NM Firm

Albuquerque, NM – February 8, 2017 - RPC CPAs + Consultants, LLP, a prominent regional CPA firm is thrilled to announce three new firm Partners in their Albuquerque office.  In addition, the Firm continues to expand with the merger of the Santa Fe practice of Deborah S. Reiss, CPA.


Alan D. “A.J.” Bowers, Jr., CPA

Bowers is an outgoing leader who is known for his ability to explain highly technical issues in plain English, and enjoys sharing his knowledge with clients and team members alike.  A Partner in the Assurance and Attestation Group, he is dedicated to continuing RPC’s growth.  Bowers will also serve as co-leader of the Government Audit Group. 


Amy Cherne, CPA, CCIFP

Cherne, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, is also a Partner in the Assurance and Attestation Group. Her 14 years of concentrated, construction industry experience makes her instrumental as co-leader of the Construction Services Group.  In addition to the construction niche, Cherne leads the commercial audit and assurance group.


Danny A. Martinez, CPA, CGFM

A Certified Government Financial Manager and Certified Public Accountant, Martinez adds ten years of audit experience to the team. His position as co-leader of the Government Audit Group, along with Bowers, sets the Group in a strong position moving forward in the government audit realm.  Martinez also has considerable experience providing audit and consulting services to tribal entities, and providing accounting training to clients and professional organizations on a wide range of topics.


Deborah S. Reiss, CPA

Reiss has merged her Santa Fe, NM practice with RPC, and joined the leadership team as a Director. She has 24 years of public accounting experience with a focus on taxation. The merger was effective January 3rd, 2017. This merger increases the breadth of services available to Reiss’ clients as well as increasing the ability of the firm to provide tax and accounting services out of the Albuquerque Office.


These additions to the leadership team of RPC CPAs + Consultants, LLP provides an even greater opportunity to serve business and individuals across the Southwest.  Having recently transitioned the Albuquerque office to a larger location, it’s safe to say we can expect much more growth in the future from this dedicated team of experts.
