Lubbock Team with School SuppliesThe Lubbock office of RPC CPAs + Consultants held its 4th annual School Supply Drive for the families at Women’s Protective Services.   The Lubbock team members donated all types of basic school supplies (pencils, paper, rules, glue, crayons, folders, pens, Kleenex, etc) and then the firm donated 20 new backpacks of all sizes and colors.

We started this effort 4 years ago as a way to help these families with school supplies that can often be very expensive to buy each year.  We know the new school year is an exciting time for kids.  In some small way, it may help them to have a great year if they have a brand new backpack and new supplies of their own.

The Lubbock team members are proud to support the Women’s Protective Services in this way – we look forward to this donation drive each year and hope to continue it for many years to come.

We now have eight offices across the Southwest to serve you. The new El Paso team members (2 Partners, 1 Director and 15 additional staff) strengthen our expertise in governmental auditing, the construction industry, and international taxation.  WSC also brings new expertise in the areas of internal audit and audit services for the gaming industry.  As with Pratas, Smith & Moore, LLC, our Lubbock office, WSC will continue to operate as White + Samaniego + Campbell, LLC.

Our summer Intern Program kicked off last week with five interns starting in our Albuquerque Office and one in Roswell, NM. Victoria Juardo, Yin Nguyen, and Jose Ortiz are all accounting students at UNM’s Anderson School of Management and will be working with the A&A Group (Audit & Attestation Service Line). Valerie Arellano is currently a student at CNM and will be an on-going Bookkeeping intern with our Small Business Service Line in Albuquerque. Albuquerque also was fortunate enough to find Lisa Cahill, a student at CNM who will be working as a bookkeeping Intern for the A&A Group. Shae Reinecke will be interning this summer for our A&A Group in our Roswell Office, and then studying abroad in the Fall.

Albuquerque, NM – ACG is very excited to announce the promotion of Senior Manager Robert “Bobby” Cordova, CPA to Partner. Bobby will be the Partner-in-Charge of the Audit & Attestation Service Line (A&A Group). With over twelve years of public accounting experience, all with ACG, Bobby has excelled in developing outstanding relationships with his clients and providing the advisory services necessary to help his clients succeed. 

In this new role, he will oversee all of the audit and other assurance related services provided to government entities, non-profit organizations, and closely held companies. In addition, he is responsible for the growth of that Service Line, and managing the employees assigned to it.

Andrea “Andi” Smith, CPA and Director with Accounting & Consulting Group has been chosen as one of three honorees for Roswell's Annual Women's History Month Celebration. She was chosen based on her propensity to consistently go above and beyond the norms of work and home to promote others, strive for excellence, and be a standard setter in the community. The theme for the 2013 Celebration is “Women Inspiring through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.” The celebration will be held on March 23 at the Roswell Museum and Art Center.
