Cindy has 28 years experience in public accounting, providing and overseeing a full range of audit, tax, consulting, and bookkeeping services. Her audit experience includes governmental agencies, particularly school districts and municipalities. She has provided the technical review of the financial statements for government entities, banks, hospitals, non-profit organizations, construction contractors and SEC registrants. She has also performed desk reviews of financial statements of governmental entities for the New Mexico Office of the State Auditor.
The majority of Cindy’s clients are related to the oil and gas industry support services companies and working interest owners.
Cindy is the Partner-in-Charge of our Hobbs and Carlsbad offices, traveling between the two weekly. She is responsible for the overall operations and profitability of both offices.
In addition, Cindy is often a speaker for “RPC University,” providing training for our more junior staff in the areas of oil and gas taxation, bookkeeping standards, and managing a younger workforce. The most recent of these classes provided information on closing books on a monthly basis, QuickBooks, fx Engagement, and the differences between tax and GAAP accounting.
Cindy has taught taxation, accounting, auditing, and general leadership classes for a number of professional associations and business executives, including the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County and the Board of Realtors. She has also written articles for various trade publications.
I am so proud to be a member of the RPC family. RPC challenges clients and team members to bring their individual knowledge, experience and perspectives to every project or situation. This challenge sets us apart from the status quo and allows us to approach solutions with a unique combination of reflective insight and forward vision.
