Certified Pension Consultant (CPC)

The Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) credential is earned by a diverse group of individuals employed in the fields of plan administration, pension actuarial administration, ERISA consultation, insurance and financial planning. CPCs work with employers to formulate, implement, administer, and maintain qualified retirement plans and other employee benefit programs. The difference between being a CPC versus being a QPA can be likened to the difference between being able to build a house versus being able to design one. 

 

Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA)

The Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) credential is offered for retirement plan professionals who work primarily with 401(k) plans. These professional typically help employers and consultants with recordkeeping, non-discrimination testing, and the administrative aspects of 401(k) and related defined contribution plans. 

 

Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA)

The Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) credential was created by ASPPA to recognize professionals who perform the technical and administrative functions of qualified plan administration. QPAs help employers, actuaries, and consultants determine eligibility and compute benefits.  They also perform duties related to recordkeeping, trust accounting, and disclosure and compliance requirements.

Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA)

The Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent is a classification of a professional allowed to practice before the IRS in regard to retirement plan matters under Title 26 of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). The IRS recognizes that retirement plan professionals are highly competent in their field and play an active and critical role in representing employers before the IRS on retirement plan matters.

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence. CFEs are trained to identify the warning signs and red flags that indicate evidence of fraud and fraud risk. CFEs have a unique set of skills that are not found in any other career field or discipline; they combine knowledge of complex financial transactions with an understanding of methods, law, and how to resolve allegations of fraud. Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)

The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) is granted exclusively to CPAs. CITPs have  the unique ability to connect business needs and technology advances while meeting the strict requirements for a CPA license. They have specialized training and experience in Emerging Trends, IT Assurance and Risk, Business Solutions, Data Analytics and Security and Privacy. 

 

Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF)

The CFF is granted exclusively to CPAs who demonstrate considerable expertise in forensic accounting through their knowledge, skills, and experience. The CFF encompasses fundamental and specialized forensic accounting skills that CPA practitioners apply in a variety of service areas, including: bankruptcy; electronic data analysis; family law; valuations; fraud prevention, detection, and response; financial statement misrepresentation; and damages calculations. 

 

Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA)
